I Am Who I Am
Julian Austin
I don’t think much about tomorrow
When I could care less for today
I live my life by my own rules
Nothing lost is something gained
I don’t make excuses
For the wrong life I choose
I guess I feel
I’ve got nothing to lose
I guess it’s just who I am
And that suits me fine
But maybe down the road
I’ll change my ways
Maybe hell will freeze over someday
Maybe I can die a better man
Once I learn to live
Without a gun in my hand
Maybe I can be a man of peace
If the devil gives back my soul to me
Maybe I’ll take some time off
From just doing time
Until then I am who I am
And that suits me fine
Well I don’t worry about where I’m going
Cause nowhere is where I’m gonna go
And though I choose to live by the sword
It’s the only life I know
I just wish sometimes
I had a heart to care
But that’s hard to do
When my heart just isn’t there
I guess it’s just who I am
And that suits me fine
But maybe down the road
I’ll change my ways
And maybe hell will freeze over someday
Maybe I can die a better man
Once I learn to live
Without this gun in my hand
Maybe I can be a man of peace
If the devil just gives back my soul to me
Maybe I’ll take some time off
From just doing time
Until then I am who I am
And that suits me fine
Maybe down the road
I’ll change my ways
And maybe hell will freeze over someday
Maybe I can die a better man
Once I’ve learned to live
Without this gun in my hand
Maybe I can be a man at peace
Once the devil gives back my soul to me
Maybe I’ll take that time off
From just doing time
Until then I am who I am
And that suits me fine
But for now I am who I am
And that suits me fine
